A Bit About the Neverwinter MMORPG

Class: Devoted Cleric

Race: Wood Elf

Main Stats: Wisdom, Strength, Charisma

Deity: Kelemvor

Game: Neverwinter Online (PC)

The above is a little about the character that I created in the game. I have been playing this game for about a year now, but for the purpose of this blog, I started a new character.

She is a wood elf, devoted cleric of Kelemvor. The tutorial of the game starts right after you create your character. Your character, like mine, starts out without any gear on the beach outside of the city of Neverwinter. You then go and talk the Neverwinter guard standing not too far from you. After talking to him you are sent to go get some gear and talk to people. After a series of other quests, you finish going through the tutorial. It is rather user-friendly, it explains the different things you and/or get to do within the tutorial. Of course, you have the option to turn this off after you go through the tutorial in the beginning.

By the time I finished playing through the game tutorial my character, Thia Silentread, was at level four and had some pieces of gear. Once I got into the Protector’s Enclave, I continued with the beginning quests. I was given some gear for completing those quests. Yes, I know that I am being rather vague about things, but I do not wish to spoil things for you readers.

The first quest you get to do outside of the tutorial leads you into a dungeon-like area called the Vaults of the Hall of Justice. Now, for my Devoted Cleric, it was fairly easy to do. Well, for a seasoned player of MMORPG’s it was a breeze to do. Now, if you do not have any prior experience in playing MMORPG’s it may or may not be a bit difficult to do.

Neverwinter is classified as a Time Saver MMORPG. I did a blog about those earlier. Overall I quite enjoyed playing the game and have recommended it to other people to play the game. I will most likely continue to do so. I play Neverwinter Online quite often with my husband and my father-in-law. The overall content of the game, minus the interaction between players, is fairly family friendly.
